I couldn't sleep last night. I kept tossing and turning, but just couldn't fall asleep. I realized suddenly, that my sister would be 11 in just 5 more months! I just could not believe it. I have a very different impression of myself when I was 11, and my sis just doesn't fit in that category at all.
Then it occurred to me that when my sister turns 11, I'll be in 8th, and it'll be summer vacation, and I'll be getting used to the idea of my new class. But I don't want 7th to end.
Part of it because 7th has been such an experience, and a turning point in my life, and part of it because I'm scared of the future. I don't want to be separated from this class. I don't want even one kid to be shifted into another section, not even the most aggravating one, because if you notice, it's the aggravating ones who add all the masti to a class.
My sister will be in 6th, she'll be going in my bus. (complicated for those not in my school)
Everything will be different. There will be change. And I'm not sure if change is my friend.
The last few months just slipped through my fingers. The Mondays merging into the Tuesdays, till I couldn't differentiate each day. And now time has speeded up even more. I'm scared that 7th will be over before i know it. I'd like to say that I'm looking forward to 8th, but I'm not.
Time always speeds up when you don't want it to, or when you are grasping at it.
Murphy's law?
Perhaps.
A new year brings happiness, bitter disappointments, new hopes, new chances of fulfilling dreams. let's just wait and see what this year brings forth.
I wish all my friends and family, that all their dreams are fulfilled, and joys are theirs, this new year.
Happy New Year.
"Time flies when you're having fun" May you continue having fun for the next 100 years :)
